bitt101. Build Instruction
1 Check the screws and gaskets.
* 32 Thin Gaskets for M2 screws.
* 5 Thick Gaskets for USB-C daughter board.
* Screws/Stand-offs as below.
2 Install Stabilizers and the USB-C daughter board on the base PCB.
* Place Thick(1.0mm) gaskets to match the position of the USB slot.
* Connect 4-pin JST CABLE between [USB-C board] and [base PCB]
3 Install Stand-offs on the base PCB, for the auxiliary PCB.
* Place Thin(0.5mm) gaskets on every screw.
4 Assemble Base PCB on to the PCB Bracket.
* Insert the FFC Cable on the Base PCB before assembly.
* For FPC Cable, plate side of the cable goes bottom. (bottom contact)
* After inserting the FPC Cable, you see the blue part of the cable from the top.
* Be careful with the cable connector cover(black plastic). Not to pull it out.
5 Assemble in the order the picture shows.
- Mute Foam
- Plate
- Switches (optional, install several to fix the plate)
- Keycaps (optional)
6 Assemble OLED display and auxiliary PCB.
* Install the OLED display(FFC cable) BEFORE assembling it.
* To install the OLED, gently SLIDE OUT the OLED socket,
insert FPC cable, and slide back in.
* It is recommended to open the FFC socket before screwing
the auxiliary PCB in.
* Place the tapes. Careful, they are fairly strong.
* The screen position needs adjustment after covering the Top Housing.
* Leave one screw hole that is under the display empty.
7 Place the Rubber Pads. Make sure the legs fit in the hole.
* Don't forget to connect FFC Cable between base - auxiliary PCB.
8 Cover the Top Housing.
* Plug in the USB, see if the screen is properly positioned.
* Don't forget to peel off the screen protector.
9 Close the Housing.
* Use the right size driver to NOT damage the screw head.
* Do not screw the screws too hard.
